What is an Accredited Platform (PA)?

An Accredited Platform is a service provider registered with the French tax authority to handle e-invoicing exchanges. It enables businesses to issue, transmit and receive e-invoices, while managing the checks, statuses and data needed to meet regulatory requirements.

The Accredited Platform acts as the intermediary between a business, its customers, its suppliers and the public e-invoicing system. It handles the transmission of invoices and regulatory data, as well as the statuses linked to each exchange.

Under the French reform, businesses in scope must be able to receive e-invoices and, according to the applicable timetable, issue them in line with the new obligations. An Accredited Platform handles these exchanges and integrates them with your IT environment.

A digitisation solution can scan or automate some invoice processing, but an Accredited Platform plays a direct role in the regulatory e-invoicing system. It must meet specific requirements for registration, interoperability, security and data transmission.

Yes. A PA can integrate with ERP systems, accounting software and business applications to automate invoice and data exchange. This reduces manual processing and embeds the new requirements into your existing processes.

Exchanges can use the structured or hybrid formats set out under the reform, such as Factur-X, UBL and CII. The platform can also handle any conversions needed between the formats used by different systems and partners.

Weexa draws on its long-standing expertise in EDI and B2B exchanges to integrate e-invoicing into your IT environment. We manage regulatory compliance while connecting the platform to your existing ERP, business applications and customer and supplier processes.
